My experience with Mark Eklund goes back 9 years.​​​

After my husband died I needed to have the house repainted as it had not been done since we moved in. I found Mark and his business through a friend at church. What a lucky day that was. Since then he has taken care of many problems that occured.

I had a leak in my roof that came through the hall ceiling. They repaired and painted the ceiling.

Mark and his group are friendly, very dependable clean up after themselves very nicely. They generally work until the job is finished. If it can’t be finished they clean up and come back early the next day. For me they have painted the interior, the windows, the porch railings, the garage door. They have installed a new light fixture and they even installed my new TV and showed me how to work it along with the CD player that was attached. Recentlly my flourcent light bulb went out in my laundry room and he came over to fix it. It is such a pleasure to know him and that he has my back as I am a widow and in my senior years. Because of him I feel I can stay in my home longer. Thanks Mark!

I recently hired Mark Eklund from Eklund Painting Services Inc. in Darien IL to prepare walls and paint the entire 1st level of my home (approximately 1000sf). My husband and I recently purchased a fixed upper home and have had to redo every single room in the house. For this process, we have worked with many different contractors in a short period of time. Mark Eklund stood out as one of the best vendors we have had the pleasure to work with due to his high level of professionalism, quality work, and great customer service.

We learned about Eklund Painting Services through our local paint store and are so appreciative of the referral. At the walk through, we were impressed by Mark’s professionalism and honesty during the estimate process. He did not come to our house to upsell, but rather focused on what made the best sense for us as a customer. For example, we had asked for both exterior and interior paint estimates. Due to the poor condition of the exterior windows, Mark recommended saving the money from exterior painting to go towards new windows, even if it was a year down the road.

Once work started on the interior paint, we appreciated his attention to detail and great customer service. Mark constantly gave us updates on the plan for each day, any questions he had and would give us a summary of the work that was completed. We truly felt that he had a genuine consideration for our home. One example was when another vendor cracked a window; Mark was upset on our behalf and immediately brought the issue to our attention.

The prep work prior to painting took a considerable amount of time due to 2 decades worth of wallpaper and dirt. After job completion, no one can now tell that the walls were originally in such poor shape. Lastly, Mark went above and beyond the scope of project by painting a hallway and closet not originally included as part of the job as it was a small add on for him but a huge help to us.

I highly recommend Mark Eklund from Eklund Painting Services Inc. We look forward to working with him in the future. The company has helped turned our fixer upper house into a home.

I highly recommend Eklund Painting Services. I have used Eklund Painting to paint my entire home interior and have been completely satisfied with their performance. They do an excellent job, are always punctual, and have the most professional attitudes in town. They went above and beyond what I had contracted for as they patched holes, made suggestions, etc.; in which they had great ideas that I hadn’t even thought of. One awesome suggestion they made was on painting my closet/doors professionally instead of just replacing at my expense. They prepared my house perfectly as they covered all my furniture and carpeting (much appreciated).

I am very happy with the workmanship, quality of painters, and professional manner in which they conducted themselves while on site. My house was left spotless and they were extremely courteous. The work was done in a timely matter!!
